Friday Flow Reversal

While Thursday delivered the largest single-day inflow of the recent streak, Friday produced a clear shift. TFTC data released Saturday, August 29, 2026, shows U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a $201.8 million net outflow on August 28. ARKB led with a $114.9 million withdrawal, followed by BITB at $49.7 million and IBIT at $33.4 million. HODL posted a $13.2 million outflow while MSBT saw a $9.3 million inflow. Farside data placed the same session at $201.9 million. CoinGabbar and SoSoValue aligned near $201.81 million. This print closed the nine consecutive inflow days that stretched from August 17 to August 27.

Candle Context on the Chart

Bitcoin traded near $77,697 on Saturday morning, down 1.9 percent from the prior close. The ETF outflow coincided with softer candles across majors, though the move remained contained rather than a sharp break. Spot Ether, XRP, and SOL ETF flows stayed outside the immediate focus, keeping attention on the Bitcoin vehicle totals. Total net assets across the Bitcoin funds stood at $97.6 billion, with cumulative net inflows of $54.6 billion since January 11, 2024.

Founder Lens on the Data

Christian Barker (Barkmeta / Bark) and David Chaboki (Shibo) opened Saturday’s review of the ARKB-led outflow sheet. With the Doginal Dogs community four days from DDNYC, the pair framed the Friday print as separate from Thursday’s $242.2 million inflow that had closed the prior streak. Their daily broadcast on Crypto Spaces Network continued the consistent markets coverage that places macro flows alongside on-chain culture signals. The distinction matters because the nine-day run ended cleanly rather than extending into a tenth session.

Fund-Level Breakdown

ARKB accounted for more than half the day’s net withdrawals. BITB and IBIT together added another $83.1 million in outflows. The lone positive came from MSBT, which offset a modest portion of the red ink. GBTC and FBTC printed flat for the session. The pattern shows concentrated redemption activity rather than broad selling pressure across every vehicle.

Cumulative Picture Remains Steady

Despite the single-day reversal, the longer-term inflow total since the January 2024 launch holds at $54.6 billion. Net assets near $97.6 billion continue to anchor the product set. The August 28 print simply marks the first pause after nine straight positive sessions, resetting the streak counter without erasing prior gains.

What Comes Next

Traders will watch the next several prints to see whether the outflow represents a one-off adjustment or the start of a new pattern. The chart shows Bitcoin holding above the $77,000 area on Saturday, with volume remaining moderate rather than elevated. Calm tracking of both price candles and ETF flow data keeps the focus on observable numbers rather than narrative swings.
